Jonathan became a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2018, where he was appointed to Chesterfield Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
Jonathan’s Foot and Ankle interest developed during his higher surgical training, which he completed as part of the South Yorkshire Orthopaedic Rotation. The highlights of his training included winning the much-coveted Getty plate 2 years in a row, a feat not achieved since its conception 30 years ago. He has also published on various orthopaedic topics and has presented his research both nationally and internationally.
His specialist interest in Foot and Ankle disorders was perfected during his fellowship at The Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry. This included innovative technologies around ankle arthritis and its treatment with ankle replacements and stem cell therapies. His passion for Foot and Ankle surgery is due to the complex nature of the disease process that affects it.
Jonathan prides himself on being able to work through the complex signs and symptoms that patients present with and creating a truly bespoke treatment package with the patient at the centre of their options.
