I am a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at Sherwood Forest NHS Trust: Kings Mill Hospital and Newark General Hospital for the last 3 years. I specialise in complex knee surgery and hip replacements. I also perform other surgeries as listed below in areas of interest. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

I completed my Basic Surgical Training in Cardiff culminating with Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS). My Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics was a National Training Number form West Midlands Deanery based in Oswestry/stoke/Birmingham during which I successfully gained his Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Tr&Orth) in Trauma &Orthopaedics. I have completed 14-month Trauma Fellowship in one of the busiest and prestigious trauma institutions in the country from Cardiff and Vale University hospitals, Cardiff, under the mentorship of Mr Mohanty and Mr Lewis.

I further took an esteemed Fellowships in Hip and Knee surgery at Warwick University Teaching Hospitals, working for Mr Steve Young & Mr Faisal (Depuy hip Arthroplasty fellowship) and Mr Robertson and Mr Wood (Depuy soft tissue& Knee Arthroplasty and revision Fellowship). Leading to a travelling fellowship in Porto Portugal, in soft tissue knees, under the world-renowned knee surgeon Dr Alcindo Silva. My interest in revision knees took me to a travelling fellowship with Dr Thorsten Gherke in the world-renowned Endo-Clinic in Hamburg.

I am heavily involved in research. I have also been awarded the degree of MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University. I am also dedicated to teaching and has been the undergraduate medical trainer for medical students from Nottingham University.

In my NHS work I am a Clinical Governance Lead for the Department and Hospital and DAtix Lead for the trust. I also chair the Mortality and Morbidity meetings in our monthly CG meetings with the surgical chair and trust heads. I am a clinical tutor for Junior doctors and registrars from the Nottingham training rotation. I am an ATLS instructor and regularly teach locally and regionally at the Royal college of surgeon run Advanced Trauma Life Support courses.
