UpgradeMr Akshay Bavikatte is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience in India and the United Kingdom. Following specialist surgical training in India, he completed higher specialist training in the UK, achieving FRCS and Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He further undertook advanced fellowship training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Pelvic Floor Disorders at St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
Mr Bavikatte specialises in the management of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), pelvic floor disorders, functional bowel disorders, and a broad range of general surgical conditions. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery and multidisciplinary care for complex colorectal disorders. Committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred treatment, he currently practises as a Consultant at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
