UpgradeMr. Burgula is a consultant inSpine division in the department of Trauma and Orthopaedics for UniversityHospitals of Derby and Burton NHS foundation trust since May 2023. His practiceinvolves both Spinal trauma and elective service in Adult and Children at RoyalDerby Hospital and Queen's Hospital, Burton.
With a focus on safety and quality, Mr. Burgula takes integrated approach in diagnosing common conditions such affecting the Back and Neck and its associated symptoms and provide a clear management plan with compassion and excellence. The vast 20 years of medical experience helps him provide a valuable advice on how to take advantages of non-surgical strategies to optimise the patient wellbeing and recovery while reserving the use of Minimally invasive and advance surgical techniques in absolute necessity.
Qualifications & Fellowships
He has completed dedicated two Post CCT fellowships at Ipswich and Norwich for a Year each. These both Centre’s are recognised by the by The Royal college of surgeons of England and reputed for delivering high quality Spinal Surgery training. The comprehensive training included Minimally invasive, Complex degenerative, Trauma, Cancer and Deformity in Adult and Paediatrics.
He is currently UG tutor for the Spine teaching for medical students from University of Nottingham and leads the Spinal Patient Safety and Enhanced recovery programs at RDH. He also undertakes teaching and training for Higher Specialist trainees for the East Midlands (North rotation) and Senior Spinal Fellow’s from British Association of Spinal Surgery across UK.
