Mr Shridhar Dronamraju is a Consultant Upper GI & General Surgeon based at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. He is also part of One Health consortium and practices at Spire Hospital, Elland and Spire Longlands Clinic, Dewsbury.

He qualified as surgeon from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and subsequently did his Doctorate in Medicine from Newcastle University in 2007. After completing his higher surgical raining from Newcastle he was appointed as Consultant General, Upper GI & HPB surgeon in 2014.

His main practice interests are upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery, with a focus on the management of complex gall bladder disease, benign biliary and pancreatic disease and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.  He also has an interest in minimally invasive hernia surgery.

He has many publications in peer reviewed journals and his thesis work on the role of diet in bowel cancer prevention was published as editor’s choice article in the prestigious medical journal ‘Gut’ in 2009.
