UpgradeI did my higher specialist training in neurosurgery in Sheffield and Hull. Then I did a post-CCT Royal college Fellowship in Manchester before starting as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in Hull Royal Infirmary in February 2010. I have been in the current substantive Consultant post since 2010 doing general neurosurgery including emergencies, spinal surgery and my specialist interest of neuro-oncology (treating brain tumour patients). I won the golden heart awards of the hospital trust in 2015 for the outstanding individual clinical category. I enjoyed doing the educational lead / specialty tutor role for higher specialist trainees in the region for a decade. My interests are neuro-oncology and general spine surgery.
