Mr Dutta is a consultant Gynaecologist who has been undertaking obstetrics and gynaecology for the last 26 years, of which 9 years were in India and 17 years in UK.

He has completed the specialist training both in India and in UK and was awarded CCT from RCOG in 2014. He was also elevated to FRCOG in 2021.

Mr Dutta's areas of interest in Gynaecology are in benign gynaecology, menstrual disorder, menopause, abortion care, contraceptive advice, hysteroscopies (Diagnostic and operative), laparotomies and complex open laparotomies, open Hysterectomies, vaginal hysterectomies and PFR, in basic and intermediate laparoscopies and risk management.

He is a GMC-approved clinical and educational supervisor for trainees in the East Midlands region and an NHS England-approved quality, service Improvement and redesigns practitioner and was awarded the NHS England Mary Seacole Leadership academy award.

He has worked previously as clinical Director in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and was a member representative to RCOG Council, CPOC, Abortion care task force and the Clinical quality board at RCOG.
