UpgradeOne Health Group, the independent provider of NHS-funded surgical procedures through ‘patient choice’, has appointed Heather Craven as part-time chief financial officer.
Heather Craven is a chartered accountant with nearly nine years as a non-executive director and extensive experience as a finance director across FTSE, AIM, and privately owned companies in the UK and internationally.
Her expertise includes corporate governance, financial controls, risk management, funding, taxation, operational and commercial restructuring, and strategic development.
Most recently, Heather served as senior independent non-executive director at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, where she held multiple committee roles including chair of finance and operational performance and vice chair of nomination and remuneration.
Heather’s previous roles include interim finance director and controller across various companies, as well as group finance director at Birse Group and finance director for European, American, and African operations at Faber Prest.
One Health also announced chief medical officer Shantanu Shahane will retire from the role to focus on clinical practice, with Professor Anil Hormis joining as associate medical director to manage the handover.
Adam Binns, chief executive officer, said: “Heather’s experience working with AIM listed companies and within an NHS Trust will be integral as we enter a very exciting period of growth for the business with the build and opening of our new surgical hub."
