Our ADHD and Autism assessment service is delivered on behalf of the NHS, meaning there is no cost to eligible patients referred through the NHS pathway.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): ADHD affects the way a person concentrates, organises tasks, manages impulses, and regulates activity levels. Common signs may include difficulty focusing, being easily distracted, forgetfulness, restlessness, fidgeting, and acting impulsively. Symptoms can present differently in children and adults and may affect everyday life, education, work, and relationships.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): ASD affects the way a person communicates, interacts with others, and experiences the world around them. Common signs may include finding social situations challenging, preferring routines, experiencing sensory sensitivities, and having strong interests in specific topics. As autism is a spectrum condition, every individual's strengths, experiences, and support needs are unique.
Depending on the outcome of your assessment, recommendations may include ADHD medication titration, follow-up reviews, support services or other appropriate onward care. Please note that a diagnosis is not guaranteed and will only be made where the assessment findings support this.
One Health waiting times from consultation to treatment are 2 - 12 weeks on average.
