Barbara Mroczkowska

Barbara is an experienced Registered Nurse and senior clinical leader with more than 28 years’ experience in operating theatres and surgical services across the NHS, independent healthcare sector and international teaching-hospital environments.

As Clinical Services Manager at One Health Group, Barbara is leading the establishment and operational development of the Group’s specialist surgical hub for spinal and major orthopaedic procedures, including hip and knee surgery. Her responsibilities include developing the hub’s clinical governance framework, operational policies, audit and quality-assurance programmes, as well as contributing to the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of its clinical and non-clinical teams. She also oversees the hub’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and patient-centred services in accordance with all relevant regulatory, statutory and professional standards.

Prior to joining One Health Group, Barbara held several senior clinical and management positions, including Operating Theatre Manager, Deputy Theatre Manager and Specialist Cardiac Theatre Nurse. She has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex theatre services, supporting clinical pathways, overseeing workforce and resource planning, responding to incidents and complaints, and preparing healthcare services for CQC inspections.

Barbara’s clinical experience spans a broad range of surgical specialities, including spinal, orthopaedic, cardiac, general, vascular, urological, robotic and emergency surgery. Her continuing professional development also includes training in minor surgery, covering the removal of superficial lesions such as skin tags and lipomas, together with wound-closure techniques, undertaken within an agreed scope of professional practice. She has also served as an Infection Control Lead and has supported the education, mentoring and professional development of theatre teams throughout her career.

Barbara holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Medical University of Gdansk and a specialist qualification in operating room nursing. She is passionate about clinical excellence, patient safety and continuous improvement, and is committed to building supportive, high-performing teams that deliver consistently high standards of compassionate care.
